Alicia implements programmatic services and designs high-quality, research based, and user-centered professional learning services, tools and resources to improve teaching and learning and advance educational equity for and with our school system partners. 

Alicia spent 9 years in New Orleans public schools serving as a teacher, school leader, professional learning coordinator, and innovative literacy advocate throughout her years.

Alicia is passionate about educational equity and this passion brought her to the work at Teaching Lab. Alicia has created and delivered professional learning across multiple elementary schools and to over 100 teachers in a regional staff development capacity for KIPP New Orleans.  She has worked with and helped to implement a variety of ELA curricula including EL Education, Louisiana Guidebooks, Reading Mastery, CKLA and more throughout her years and also has worked with other charter organizations throughout the city with implementation.
