Teacher Advisory Board Member

Angela Santos

Angela Santos has served as a Blended Learning Specialist for the Compton Unified School District for the past 5 years. Prior to that she served as an Assistant School Leader, Program Manager, Instructional Coach, and teacher for grades K-4 primarily in the Los Angeles community of Watts.

She holds two Master’s degrees, one in Reading from the California State University of Fullerton, and another in Teaching from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her teaching philosophy drives her work for all learners, both students and adults. She believes that true learning happens when we meet learners where they are and support them in achieving their own goals.

Angela joined the Teacher Advisory Board to be able to learn and collaborate with other educators around how to create more equitable solutions for all students. By sharing our journeys we see commonalities despite the various contexts and are able to pose solutions to some of our toughest educational challenges.

Angela continues to advocate for purposeful and meaningful learning experiences for students and teachers in an effort to bring a wholistic and student-centered educational experience for all students.
