Annie has worked in educational communications and development for over ten years, first in higher education at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center and then at Price College of Business with the University of Oklahoma. Shifting to K-12 development and communications, Annie worked for Teach For America before most recently transitioning to facilitating budget and administrative projects within Indian Prairie School District.

Annie has a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Secondary Education from DePaul University. She is certified to teach middle and secondary social sciences in Illinois.

Annie enjoys spending time with her husband cheering on their niece in the marching band competitions, scrapbooking family trips across the country, playing with their 3-year-old Great Pyrenees Otis, and reading classic and new horror novels.
