Shaye sets and leads Teaching Lab’s strategy to internally measure the impact of our professional learning services on teacher practice and student learning. 

Shaye brings extensive experience in program and project evaluation, having partnered with international and local NGOs, community actors, and local governments on education and economic development projects in the US and in Mexico. Before joining Teaching Lab, Shaye completed her PhD in Political Economy of Development at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla as a Fulbright scholar in Mexico, focusing her research on educational equity in marginalized communities. She was also a professor and researcher at the School of Social Sciences and Government at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she was named the 2019 Inspiring Professor of the campus.
