Dr. Susan Griffith

Dr. Susan Griffith is the Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology at Intermediate Unit 28, providing leadership and professional development to Armstrong and Indiana Counties in Pennsylvania. Dr. Griffith has taught a range of grade levels and courses, including elementary, high school, higher education and several topics in professional development to teachers and leaders.

Dr. Griffith has a bachelors in elementary education, masters in special education and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction. She also holds certification as an English as Second Language teacher. During her career, she has had many opportunities to facilitate sessions focused on school improvement, certification, state assessment data, curriculum alignment, and other pertinent topics to district leaders.

Dr. Griffith believes that teaching is a craft and a calling that is ever-changing; teachers are asked to engage students in academics and careers like never before. Teaching is a verb full of action and change, requiring those who teach to also be those who prepare and respond. Dr. Griffith joined TAB to be a contributing member and to hear great ideas from colleagues across the country.
