As Manager, Program, Emily implements programmatic services and designs high-quality, research-based, and user-centered professional learning services, tools, and resources to improve teaching and learning and advance educational equity for and with our school system partners.

Emily joins Teaching Lab with 7 years of experience in math education. She began her career in 2014 as a classroom teacher in Memphis, Tennessee. She taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade math and simultaneously served as a Grade Level Chair, Content Team Lead, and Teacher Coach. In 2019, Emily began working for an education non-profit where she supported both teachers and school and district leaders across the country in improving math instruction and student learning. In this role, she led coaching cycles with teachers and leaders and designed and facilitated professional development for teachers across K-12 math classrooms. Emily holds a B.A. from St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO.

Emily currently resides in the Memphis area and can be found enjoying a walk along the Mississippi River with her dog or writing and playing music.
