As Manager, Program, Jem implements programmatic services and designs high-quality, research-based, and user-centered professional learning services, tools, and resources to improve teaching and learning and advance educational equity for and with our school system partners.

Jem brings over a decade of experience working to ensure that all students receive a high-quality and equitable education.  Passionate about both STEM and ELA education, Jem has experience as a teacher, school leader, and a district leader in New York City and Texas.   As a school leader and district leader she worked to ensure that teachers received high quality instructional coaching, professional development, and mentorship.   After her time in New York, Jem moved to Texas in 2018 to lay the groundwork for a new elementary school in Houston as a founding principal. 

Most recently, Jem supported a school district to revamp their STEM instruction and school-based instructional coaching.  She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Vermont, a M.A. in Sociology and Education Policy from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a M.S. Masters of Science in Education/Special Education from Touro College.  

Jem enjoys traveling, cooking, binge-watching television shows, exploring her new hometown of New Orleans, and spending time with her husband.
