Sherry began her career teaching high school English at The Marble Hill School for International Studies in the Bronx, New York. She then served as Director of Certification and a senior faculty member at The Writing Revolution, where she developed the organization’s first certification program, created new professional development courses and materials, and worked closely with the Louisiana Department of Education to embed the Writing Revolution’s strategies into the ELA Guidebooks curriculum. Most recently, Sherry was a Professional Learning Manager at Quill.org, responsible for customer success management and professional learning for schools and districts with premium Quill subscriptions. Sherry also led a research study of Quill’s newest literacy tool, Quill Reading for Evidence, in a Bronx public school and contributed to the tool’s design and revision. Sherry is passionate about effective writing instruction and its potential to empower students, as well as teachers.

Sherry lives with her son, daughter, and cat in Washington Heights, NYC. She considers herself insatiably curious, with a passion for psychology, art, community, and good conversation.
