Tara McDonald, Director, Design & Partnerships - State Level, has 13 years of education experience as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and school administrator. Tara started her education career as a Teach for America corps member in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then transitioned to an early education literacy consultant. Prior to joining Teaching Lab, Tara held the position of Dean of Instruction at Nova Pioneer, a network of schools in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Tara holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Human Services from The George Washington University. Tara is currently pursuing a Master’s from The University of Georgia in Learning, Leadership and Organizational Development.
