Tonia holds a BA in Accounting from Jackson State University and an MBA from Delta State University. Before joining Teaching Lab, Tonia was responsible for managing the annual budget, publishing business, and human resource operations of the University Press of Mississippi (UPM). She's also been a business consultant to various non-profit organizations, assisting clients with annual budget preparation, budget reviews, and board presentations. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Tonia enjoys providing financial literacy to family, friends, teenagers, and small business owners.
