The Teaching Lab Teacher Advisory Board is a unique resource for obtaining real insights from real educators.

The Teacher Advisory Board is designed to regularly engage educators in Teaching Lab’s user-centered design of professional learning programs and content. Throughout SY21-22, members will engage with Teaching Lab staff to:

  • Identify important curricular or instructional problems, especially related to culturally-responsive teaching, and 

  • Provide feedback on Teaching Lab’s prototypes (at multiple stages) of professional learning content and programs, targeting the identified problems or areas of learning.

Meet the Teacher Advisory Board

Our existing board consists of 17 members from across 10 states who instruct or support all grade-bands of ELA or mathematics. Teacher Advisory Board members commit to one year of service.

Each Teacher Advisory Board member is:

  • Passionate about teaching and teacher professional learning.

  • Hold a firm belief that all students can be successful at grade-level work with the appropriate scaffolds.

  • Have interest in Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education.
