As Teaching Lab's Financial Reporting Manager, Tonia Lonie maintains the integrity of financial information issued from our financial systems. This requires her to collaborate cross-functionally to lead the monthly financial close process, oversee reconciliations and payroll, and prepare, analyze, and issue financial statements. In striving for operational excellence, her role aligns with our strategic plan to maintain financial stability and create sustainable systems that increase educational equity and impact.

Tonia holds a BA in Accounting from Jackson State University and an MBA from Delta State University. Before joining Teaching Lab, Tonia was responsible for managing the annual budget, publishing business, and human resource operations of the University Press of Mississippi (UPM). She's also been a business consultant to various non-profit organizations, assisting clients with annual budget preparation, budget reviews, and board presentations. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Tonia enjoys providing financial literacy to family, friends, teenagers, and small business owners.
