Funded by MA DESE
Schools that are selected for the program will have full access to the Zearn Math Summer Intensive Series and professional learning provided by Teaching Lab. The summer series leverages the essential math content students should work through before starting grades 1-8 and can be used flexibly across summer school models. Teaching Lab Trainings
Zearn Math Certified Advisors from Teaching Lab will provide professional learning to equip school leaders and teachers with the knowledge and skills to successfully implement Zearn instructional materials as both core or supplementary resources, provide a launching pad for further study and growth, and build a professional community to support ongoing learning.
How Zearn Works
Zearn is used by 1 in 4 students nationwide and is the only EdReports "greenlit" math instructional materials with a strong digital learning component. Zearn can be used as core materials or Digital Lessons can be used alongside other materials.

Digital Lessons Overview
All students will have access to a 24/7 online math platform with self-paced digital lessons that include fluency, concept development, and independent practice, with built-in math help. Each digital lesson takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Data Reports Overview
All teachers and administrators have access to real-time reporting that can be used to support student math progress. Teachers have access to Class and Student-level reports. Administrators have access to school and district-level reports.

Family Resources
Zearn offers a family resource center on Instagram with explanations of key math terms, suggested at-home activities, and tips for supporting children with digital lesson completion. Orientation webinars in English and Spanish are also available.
