What to look for at SXSW EDU 2022

Written by Teaching Lab

We are thrilled to announce that Teaching Lab will be participating in the Tools Competition Demo Day at #SXSWEDU! As a winner of the 2021 Tools Competition, we will be attending Demo Day to showcase Teaching Lab Plus to users, educators, technologists, and funders.

We will be among the 18 winning teams who have been working to accelerate pandemic-related learning recovery and advance the field of learning engineering.

On March 7th, prior to Demo Day, Dr. Sarah Johnson, will be discussing shifting the paradigm for educational equity to truly answer the question of “How can we save teacher professional development?” Full event information can be found here.

The speakers on Demo Day from Teaching Lab are CEO, Dr. Sarah Johnson, and COO, HaMY Vu. HaMy will showcase Teaching Lab’s innovative data infrastructure, and Sarah will talk about the interactive data visualization tools that Teaching Lab uses to help fundamentally shift the paradigm of teaching professional learning for educational equity.

Launched in July 2020, the Tools Competition generated nearly 900 proposals from 55 countries. The educational tools developed by the winning teams have the potential to serve close to 20 million students within the next three years.

Join us at Demo Day March 8 at 10:30 a.m. CT at the Austin Convention Center, Room 11AB to celebrate Teaching Lab and the other winning technologies of the Learning Engineering Tools Competition. Full information about the event can be found here. We hope to see you there!
